Image processing techniques in laser speckle photography (with application to hybrid stress analysis)
Abstract
Six techniques for analyzing speckle halo fringes for fringe spacing and orientation using a digital image analyzer are presented. Application of these techniques to two-dimensional hybrid stress analysis is briefly described where speckle displacement data around the high stress region of a notched bar in tension is used as input data to a plane stress finite element program.
