Experimental opportunities offered by ITALSAT in testing slant-path propagation of the 20, 40 and 50 GHz frequency bands
Abstract
Opportunities to measure atmospheric attenuation, depolarization by hydrometeors, wave-front angle of arrival and spatial coherence, phase distortion, amplitude distortion, incoherent radiation, and the transfer characteristics of the depolarizing channel using the ITALSAT satellite are described. Experiment configurations for 20, 40 and 50 GHz propagation are summarized.
