Coherent and noncoherent properties of K distributed sea clutter
Abstract
A model based on the compound K-distribution is described and related to coherent as well as noncoherent processing of sea clutter. The model's main advantage is in its treatment of the correlation properties, through the separation into two multiplicative components. It is demonstrated that the application of this model provides much more realistic prediction and optimization of signal processing.
