The RM-1 radiometer system
Abstract
The RM-1 microwave (4-cm) radiometer system (installed on the Meteor-Priroda satellite as part of the Bulgaria-1300-II instrumentation) is designed for the remote sensing of the earth surface (particularly water bodies). The modulation operating principle of the radiometer is described, and a block diagram is presented. Examples of brightness-temperature measurements along the satellite trajectory are given.
