Optimal pole assignment for power electronic systems
Abstract
An optimal pole assignment concept for a closed loop feedback control is proposed and its advantages are discussed. Precise tracking of a reference signal and disturbance rejection with quick transient response can be achieved with this theory. The importance of loss of observability by pole-zero cancellation is stressed. Examples of the control of a PWM inverter and superconducting magnet are demonstrated, and observer design is illustrated.
