Metrological evaluation criteria for precision measurement of large gas flows
Abstract
Metrological evaluation criteria, based on principles of flow physics, for a metrological connection system are presented, as well as calibrating curve and time-stability; classified measurement inaccuracy; number of connection phases for calibrating curve production; and connection procedure. Experience in using rotary reverse gas meters, turbine disk gas meters, and critical Venturi nozzles in precision measurement of large gas flows is reviewed. Calibrating curves are plotted to determine errors. Three high pressure gas meter test benches are compared. Test points are within the statistical inaccuracy.
