Communication and radar systems
Abstract
The design and operating characteristics of communications and radar systems are discussed in a combined introduction intended for senior electrical-engineering students. Generic communications and radar systems are defined and compared, and chapters are devoted to signal analysis; AM communications and radar systems; FM and PM systems; analog pulse-modulation, pulse-code-modulation, and mixed-modulation communications systems; mixed-modulation radar systems; probability and random variables; stochastic processes; noise in communications and radar systems; and electronic warfare. Diagrams and graphs are included, and problems are provided for each chapter.
