Time domain analysis of an S3R system
Abstract
A sequential switching regulator was analyzed in the time domain. Program TRACE was developed to model the control loop thus enabling the analysis of fundamental parameters, including ripple voltage limits, switching frequency, proportional loop gain, effects of loop delays; and response to step off loads. The wide variety of input parameters results in a flexible model for verifying S3R systems. It is a useful design tool for determining loop parameters during the initial stages of design.
