Use of impedance measurements to model nickel-cadmium batteries
Abstract
Impedance measurements were performed on nickel-cadmium cells over a frequency range from 0.001 to 10,000 Hz. Impedance diagrams are obtained using a galvanostatic mode for a quasi equilibrium state with a zero constant current intensity and a superimposed alternative current of small amplitude. The results for a battery charged and discharged under standardized conditions are presented. An equivalent electric circuit that best fits the experimental results is proposed.
