Calibration of the FSSP-100 photoelectric cloud-droplet spectrometer
Abstract
The results of calibration of the FSSP-100 cloud droplet spectrometer with monodispersed water droplets (in the 6-47-micron range) are presented. The experimentally obtained dependence differed from the theoretically calculated response and even more so from that suggested by Knollenberg (1976); maximal deviation was observed for droplets in the 10-30-micron range. Approximation formulas are suggested for experimental calibrations, which greatly simplify the application of corrections to the measurement results.
