Acousto-optical spectrometers at the University of Helsinki
Abstract
A double acoustooptical spectrometer system has been developed for spectral line measurements at Metsaehovi Radio Observatory. The system consists of a wideband part which has 100 MHz bandwidth and a high resolution part with a bandwidth of 11 MHz. Spectrometers can be used simultaneously and they have a common digital part. By developing an active stabilization system, excellent frequency stability has been obtained. A 500 MHz bandwidth version with 19-inch rack compatibility is currently under construction.
