Review of current far-infrared spectrometers
Abstract
At the present time, several different types of spectrometer are in use in the far-infrared. These are the FTS, grating, Fabry-Perot, and heterodyne. Each type of instrument has advantages for particular kinds of observations, and no one technology has a decisive superiority over the others.
