Ion temperature in TORTUR 3
Abstract
Spatially resolved ion-energy distributions for discharges in the TORTUR 3 tokamak are presented. The measurements were performed in an active method, using a neutral hydrogen probing beam of 20 to 30 keV, to enhance charge-exchange processes along its path, as well as by the usual passive method. Ion temperatures can amount to 1 keV.
