Adaptive sidelobe cancellation by linear prediction
Abstract
A sidelobe cancellation weight-vector calculation method, developed as an alternative to the sample matrix inversion (SMI) method, is presented. This method possesses several desirable features. First, it has all the good features of the SMI method. Second, a solution for the adapted weight vector exists even if only one antenna snapshot is available for the construction of this vector. Third, the computation load in the worst case is equal to that of the SMI method. Fourth, it can easily be modified to provide many special features.
