ARBAT - Tracking radar for real-time analysis of modern projectiles
Abstract
ARBAT, an acronym for Application of Radar to Ballistic Acceptance Testing of ammunition, is a U.S. Army program for a range instrumentation radar system that provides ballistic test information which, until the present, was not accurately measured or was not available at all. AThe program was initiated bya study to investigate various ballistic testing alternatives and propose the best system approach based on Government test requirements.
