Using methods of polyargument systems for investigating multidimensional transfer processes
Abstract
The principal features of methods of full polyargument systems are briefly reviewed, and the use of these methods for solving transfer problems of high dimensionality is discussed. Attention is given to real plane and three-dimensional problems of conductive heat transfer in the presence of localized internal energy sources complicating the solution, as well as some hypothetic examples corresponding to the Poisson equations of different dimensionalities (from two-dimensional to eight-dimensional). It is shown that the solution is characterized by high efficiency despite the substantial increase in dimensionality; in all cases the solution converges for three-five terms of a series.
