High temperature strain gage alloys
Abstract
This paper discusses current high temperature alloys, their properties, useful temperature range and gage life at temperature. The effect of high strains on gage characteristics is discussed. The temperature range of interest in this paper is 350 C to 1300 C. Data on newer alloys developed for high temperature applications is included.
