Self-integrating magnetic field sensors
Abstract
An improved design for a magnetic field sensor whose output is proportional to the applied magnetic field is presented. The design uses a resistor which, in conjunction with the self-inductance of the sensor, integrates the sensor signal internal to the sensor. The sensor is calibrated using a biconical transmission line calibrator and a TEM cell. The measured sensor response agrees well with predictions.
