Feasibility study for a SAR test monitor

An SAR test configuration including test equipment, SAR sensor, and a graphical/digital test monitor was investigated to evaluate the signal quality regarding test costs and test duration. The various tests and interfaces and related accuracy values are reviewed. The combination of a computer and a visual display unit allows processing of the test instrument readings and calculation and display of statistical parameters and histograms. The test implementation costs for an SAR specific measuring facility are twice as high as those for a layout with commercially available laboratory measuring instruments.
