Calibration of a measuring camera system for precise assessment of a nine shaft segment in coal mining
Abstract
A measuring camera was calibrated through bundle triangulation for photogrammetric measurement of sections of a 3.2 m radius, 4.5 m long mine shaft, with an accuracy of 0.2 mm for individual coordinates. The measuring camera is protected against weather. External factors (temperature) influence the components of the camera internal orientation. The interactions between the camera constants and radial-symmetrical distortion are shown. Laboratory and field calibrations are compared. Simultaneous field calibration is required for precision.
