Direct-coupled cavity filters with irises of arbitrary thickness
Abstract
The transmission characteristics of symmetrical waveguide filters are investigated. The thickness of the irises is taken into account. The calculations are based on an exact mode matching method. In the frequency range of the X-band one-, two-, three-, four-, and six-cavity filters are analyzed and parameters such as aperture, thickness of irises, and cavity length are changed. The results of the measurements are in good agreement with the computed transmission characteristics.
