Computer simulation of space plasmas
Abstract
The present conference considers the development status of particle simulation models in plasma physics, the application of particle simulation to electrostatic ion cyclotron waves on auroral field lines, an electromagnetic wave particle simulation's application to space plasmas, the application of a relativistic code to radiation generation, and recent advancements in particle simulation. Also discussed are the principles of MHD simulations of space plasmas, MHD modeling of the earth's magnetosphere, the numerically simulated formation and propagation of interplanetary shocks, anomalous transport by Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities, particle behavior in the magnetosphere, the application of hybrid simulation techniques to the earth's bow shock, the Vlasov simulation of ion acoustic double layers, and space plasma simulation models whose boundary conditions are a key to design and analysis.
