A consistent quantitative interpretation of the Auger lineshapes of carbon in molecules and solids
Abstract
In this work we have theoretically interpreted the C KVV Auger lineshapes for benzene and cyclohexane in a procedure consistent with that used previously for graphite and diamond. The one-electron density of states are obtained empirically and localization effects are included within the Cini-Sawatzky model. The empirically determined final state hole-hole repulsions are seen to be very similar to those obtained for the corresponding solids.
