Basic equations of fluid mechanics
Abstract
Navier Stokes and Boussinesq equations for steady state and transient conditions are discussed. The constitutive equations relative to isothermal and nonisothermal flow are developed. Classical boundary conditions, nondimensional parameters governing viscous flow, and the basic equations in plane and axisymetric flow are given.
