A numerical analysis of the electrodynamic characteristics of reflector antenna exciters of certain types
Abstract
A study is made of the fields of electrodynamic models of the exciters of a reflector antenna having reflectors in the form of a disk or a disk with scattering projections. The analysis employs a numerical method whereby the problem is reduced to a system of integrodifferential equations which are then solved on a computer. Attention is given to the amplitude and phase structure of the field of a perfectly conducting disk excited by a rectangular aperture and by an elementary oscillator normal to the disk axis.
