Some properties of difference schemes in one-dimensional gas dynamics
Abstract
An implicit nonlinear difference scheme used in one-dimensional gas dynamics is analyzed numerically. A study is then made of the stability of some difference schemes which are made explicit to improve solvability. A proof is presented for a theorem on the stability of a one-dimensional gasdynamic difference scheme relative to an arbitrary smooth solution in the acoustic approximation.
