Some characteristics of the computation of twodimensional gasdynamic problems using irregular triangular grids
Abstract
Results of a methodological study of fully conservative Lagrangian difference schemes used with an irregular triangular grid for gasdynamic equations are reported. In particular, attention is given to a loss of approximation near the axis (cylindrical symmetry) and methods of preventing this effect; approximation and operator interpretation at a corner point with a change in the type of boundary conditions; and a loss of stability in the case of the free approximation of boundary conditions of the second kind.
