Computer image correlation for the determination of camera station parameters
Abstract
This paper describes the use of scanned images, electronic image display, and computer image correlation as a photogrammetric measuring system. The resulting measurements are used to determine space position and attitude angles which are required by the visual simulator developed by LTV Aerospace and Defense (LTVAD) for the U.S. Navy's A-7E Weapon System Trainer. Also, presented is the methodology for generating an image with a 360 degree field of view in azimuth and 100 degrees in elevation from negatives exposed with a seven-lens aerial camera.
