Effects of the alignment errors on horn crosspolar pattern measurements
Abstract
A computer simulation of the standard method of crosspolar pattern measurements of horns is reported. Alignment error effects have been observed, and the simulated patterns compare well with the measured ones. The shape of the measured crosspolar pattern provides a clear indication of the validity of such a measurement. The experimental setup used in the simulation study is described in detail.
