The automatic alignment and measurement of beam pointing angle in a phased array
Abstract
Analyses and computer simulations used to investigate automatic alignment and measurement procedures are reviewed. The statistical and theoretical techniques for predicting beam pointing error are examined. The relation between the pointing angle and the scan angle is studied; the error between the two angles is evaluated. The simulation algorithms which are utilized to calibrate and measure the beam pointing error are described.
