The mutual coupling and radiation performance of an array of disc-on-rod antennas
Abstract
Results of a theoretical analysis of transverse and longitudinal mutual coupling effects in an array of disc-on-rod antennas are reported, and it is shown how the radiation pattern of a single element is distorted by coupling to an adjacent identical antenna. It is further shown that a complete theoretical model of the disc-on-rod array antenna must also include the effect of the launcher radiation on the single element pattern.
