Turbulence characteristics of an offset jet
Abstract
An experimental study was made of a turbulent two-dimensional offset jet. Detailed velocity measurements were made in the primary jet, recirculation region and attachment region. Presented are representative energy spectra and integral scales throughout the flow. It is found that low pass filtering of the turbulent kinetic energy occurs as the flow approaches impingement.
