LDA measurements in a turbulent diffusion flame with planar geometry
Abstract
The velocity field of a turbulent diffusion flame developing in the mixing layer of two rectangular jets is investigated. LDA measured turbulence characteristicss of the nonignited nd ignited velocity fields re compared. This comparison shows that both the rms axial and transversal fluctuations and their maximum velocity normalized values are lower in the ignited case.
