Unsteady viscous flow around cylindrical bodies in oscillating motion
Abstract
Compact numerical schemes are applied to cylindrical geometries an airfoils to solve the unsteady two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in vorticity-stream function formulation. The method is demonstrated with problems including high Reynolds number laminar flow with or without superimposed motions of high reduced amplitude.
