Nonstationary boundary layer on a rotationally vibrating cylinder in transverse flow
Abstract
The problem of nonstationary transverse flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past a rotationally vibrating cylinder is analyzed for large Reynolds numbers. A solution to the problem is obtained by using an implicit numerical scheme. The results obtained indicate the possibility of controlling the delay of flow separation by varying the vibration amplitude and frequency.
