Calculation of a curved turbulent wall jet
Abstract
Plane turbulent jet flow along a curved surface is analyzed with allowance for the transverse pressure gradient due to the curvature of the flow lines. The approximation used here makes it possible to calculate sufficiently thick wall jets. A calculation method is proposed which includes a monotonic difference scheme and grid optimization. A comparison between the calculations and experimental data indicates that the procedure proposed here is applicable to nonseparated jet flow past a surface.
