Lamb wave generation during the interaction of counterpropagating magnetostatic waves in a ferromagnetic plate
Abstract
The paper is concerned with the interaction of counterpropagating straight bulk magnetostatic waves resulting in a generation of a differential-frequency Lamb acoustic wave in a ferromagnetic plate. The energy balance method is used to obtain equations of coupled waves in a bounded ferromagnetic and to calculate the acoustic wave energy flux leaving the nonlinear interaction region. The analysis allows for nonlinearities in the boundary conditions associated with the presence of Maxwell's stress tensor and acoustic wave boundary oscillations.
