First International Workshop on Battery Testing, 30 September-2 October 1985, Heidelberg, FRG

In June 1984, after the last Contractor's Conference, representatives from several countries met in Washington, DC to discuss international cooperation in advanced battery research and development. Because of the diversity of approaches in various countries and the minimum attention in international forums for battery testing, the representatives agreed on the desirability of a workshop to discuss testing methodologies. As a result, the first International Workshop on Battery Testing was organized and held in Heidelberg, Germany from 30 September through 2 October 1985.
