Manufacturing of hardened electrical wiring
Abstract
The quality control and manufacturing procedures required to assure the high reliability of electrical wiring systems for aerospace or weapon applications are discussed. The means of increased protection from electromagnetic interference include interference filters, peak absorption devices, and improved grounded shields. The use of magnetostriction devices in cable assembly is recommended. Shield manufacturing technology is discussed. Quality control facilities are detailed. It is shown that the wiring hardening techniques must be a part of the design stage to avoid later problems.
