Performance analysis of the frame structure proposed for the hybrid digital hierarchy
Abstract
Frame structures and frame alignment criteria proposed for a mixed digital hierarchy employed for international interworking between networks using different multiplexing standards are analyzed. The average alignment holding time (i.e., the average time interval between of frame alignment for a transmission error ratio) the false alignment probability (i.e., the probability of alignment simulation) and the maximum realignment time with 99.7% probability of its not being exceeded are given.
