Electronic mail at ANL

Concepts, issues, and commands basic to electronic mail are discussed and the capabilities and limitations of the electronic mail systems currently in place at Argonne National Laboratory is described, with an emphasis on communication through the Bitnet network. The primary purpose of this document is to complement the detailed information found in vendor documents on electronic mail. You can find the details and procedures of specific electronic mail systems in the appropriate manuals listed in the Bibliography.
