Moment-method formulation of the cavity-probe aperture antenna
Abstract
The electromagnetic moment method formulation which is used to determine the fields in a cavity probe aperture ground plane antenna is presented. The formulation consists of the submatrix equations which describe the aperture fields and the probe currents. The aperture submatrix is derived using reaction matching and K space theory, and the probe equations are derived using pulse and modal function expansions. A numerical example of the probe solution, indications of how to couple the probe and aperture fields, and complete listing of the cavity Green's functions are given.
