Spectral-luminescence characteristics and induced emission of Nd-3(+) ion in Gd(2-x)Nd(x)(WO4)3 crystals
Abstract
Highly concentrated Gd(2-x)Nd(x)WO4)(3) crystals obtained by the Chokhral'skiy method on a Donets-3 commercial system are investigated. Spectroscopic measurements to determine the Stark levels and to identify transitions between levels were conducted by traditional absorption and luminescence analysis methods. The findings indicate that gadolinium neodymium tungstate crystals can be used effectively in solid state microlasers pumped by light pulses with durations of a few microseconds.
