Synthesis of algorithms for the detection of signals on a background of correlated noise in the frequency domain
Abstract
Consideration is given to the problem of signal detection on a background of correlated noise of reflection type in a coherent pulse radar system. In the presence of a priori ambiguity with respect to the correlation properties of the noise, the signal reception constitutes a highly complex problem connected with the need to estimate the noise correlation matrix and its inversion. Computationally simple algorithms of signal detection on a background of correlated noise in the frequency domain are synthesized by analyzing the correlation properties of frequency sampling at the output of a nonrecursive spectrumanalyzer.
