New diffraction equation for magnetodielectric bodies
Abstract
A new method for the construction of the integral equation of diffraction for a homogeneous magnetodielectric body in a homogeneous medium is proposed which differs from conventional methods in that boundary conditions are not employed. This makes it possible to obtain a single integral equation for the magnetic (or electric) field with a kernel that has a logarithmic singularity (a first-order pole) instead of the usual system of two equations with second-order poles or a single equation with a third-order pole.
