Investigation of field distribution in the open resonator of an operating diffraction-radiation generator
Abstract
The microwave field distributions in the open resonator (OR) of an operating diffraction-generator were studied experimentally through visualization on thermochemical paper and using scanning of the scattering test body. The visualization made it possible to identify the type of excited OR modes, to choose the optimal operating modes, and to determine noise-suppression measures for the higher modes. A detailed analysis of field distribution in the standing wave of the OR led to the determination of relationships between the amplitude of waves near the periodic structure and inside the OR.
