Investigation of the fine structure of diffraction radiation in the millimeter range. II
Abstract
The polarization characteristics of diffraction radiation were measured for radiation excited by a premodulated electron beam moving near a diffraction grating. The radiation has been found to possess a fine spatial structure connected with electron-wave processes in the electron beam. It is noted that this is the first report of millimeter-wavelength diffraction radiation excited by longitudinal and transverse electron waves.
