Diffraction characteristics of Xrays from ultrarelativistic particles in ideal crystals
Abstract
The diffraction properties of resonant transition Xrays from ultrarelativistic particles in thick ideal crystals are studied theoretically. It is shown that the intensity of an Xray quantum at the diffractionreflection boundary is proportional to the fourth power of the crystal thickness. In addition, it is found that the maximum of the spectral distribution of sigmapolarized Xrays coincides with the minimum of pipolarized Xrays. In collinear geometry the maximum is 10,000 times larger than the usual values of the spectral distribution of parametric Cerenkov radiation.
