Focusing features of a diffraction grating in an open resonator
Abstract
The spectral and energy characteristics of an open resonator (OR) with an inhomogeneity in the form of a two-layer ribbon diffraction grating with an arbitrary distance between the gratings are studied for the main oscillation frequency of the OR. The solution and its numerical implementation are given for an OR with a one-layer grating. Two mechanisms are found to govern the parameters of such a system: focusing of the resonance beam by the grating and energy concentration in one of the resonator regions. Sufficiently good agreement between numerical results and experimental data is noted.
