Some features of the establishment of radiation in a moving isotropic plasma
Abstract
The radiation of an oscillating dipole, activated at t = 0, placed in an isotropic cold plasma moving at a constant velocity is investigated using the steepest descent method. The configuration of the Green function is ascertained for such a medium, and the radiation field is described in terms of two parts: the transitional and the established solutions. The analysis indicates that the transitional regime of the waves under consideration is qualitatively different from the establishment of electromagnetic waves.
